How to Provide Information to OFCANZ

If you have information that could help the Organised and Financial Crime Agency New Zealand combat organised crime, please contact ofcanz@ofcanz.govt.nz, or you may write to OFCANZ at PO Box 3017, Wellington.

Crimestoppers

If, for whatever reason you are reluctant to contact OFCANZ, or to tell Police what you know, you can anonymously report information about serious crime (including organised crime) and criminals to Crimestoppers.

Crimestoppers is an independent charity working to solve and prevent crime.

Crimestoppers NZ's free calling number is 0800 555 111. Alternatively information can be submitted using an encrypted online form at www.crimestoppers-nz.org.

How is anonymity guaranteed?
Crimestoppers gives an absolute guarantee that calls cannot be traced. Calls are not recorded and the caller ID number is not able to be viewed in the call centre.

What should I call Crimestoppers about?
Examples of when to make a call to Crimestoppers are:

  • you know about a crime that has been, or is being committed
  • you suspect a crime is being planned
  • any other activity you think is illegal.

Remember that in an emergency you should dial 111 for immediate assistance.
